Editorial Process
The editorial process at Annals of Medical and Health Research: An International Journal is designed to ensure the publication of high-quality, original, and ethically sound research in medicine, healthcare, and related biomedical sciences. The journal follows a transparent, rigorous, and fair peer-review system to uphold scientific integrity and excellence.
1. Manuscript Submission
Authors submit manuscripts via the journal’s online submission portal or designated email.
All submissions must comply with the Author Guidelines regarding format, structure, and ethical standards.
A confirmation email is sent upon successful submission.
2. Initial Screening
The Editor-in-Chief or Associate Editors conduct a preliminary assessment.
Manuscripts are screened for:
- Relevance to medicine, healthcare, or biomedical research
- Originality and novelty
- Language quality and clarity
- Compliance with submission guidelines
- Manuscripts failing these criteria may be desk rejected.
3. Plagiarism Check
All manuscripts undergo plagiarism detection using standard software.
Submissions with high similarity scores or suspected academic misconduct are rejected immediately.
4. Peer Review Process
Manuscripts passing initial checks are sent for double-blind peer review.
At least two independent reviewers with expertise in the relevant medical discipline are invited.
Reviewers evaluate manuscripts for:
- Originality and scientific contribution
- Rigor of methodology and data analysis
- Clinical or public health relevance
- Clarity of presentation and overall scholarly impact
Possible review outcomes include:
- Accept as is
- Minor revisions required
- Major revisions required
- Reject
5. Author Revision
Authors receive reviewers’ comments and are asked to revise the manuscript accordingly.
Revised manuscripts must be submitted within the specified timeline, along with a response letter addressing each reviewer comment.
6. Final Decision
The Editor-in-Chief, in consultation with Associate Editors, makes the final decision based on reviewer recommendations and author revisions.
Decisions are communicated to authors via email.
7. Copyediting and Proofreading
Accepted manuscripts undergo professional copyediting to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
Proofs are sent to authors for final corrections before publication.
8. Publication
The final version of the article is published online open access.
Each article is assigned a DOI (Digital Object Identifier) for permanent citation and indexing.
9. Post-Publication
Published articles are promoted via the journal’s website, indexing databases, and social media platforms.
Authors are encouraged to share and disseminate their work to maximize impact.
Editorial Integrity
The journal strictly adheres to COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines.
All editorial decisions are based solely on the scientific merit of the work, free from bias, commercial influence, or conflicts of interest.
